Delete my Vespéra account
This page explains how to ask for your Vespéra account to be deleted, what that deletion erases, and how to have part of your data deleted without closing your account. It can be read without installing the application.
From the application
Sign in, then open “Me” → “Leave”.
The request takes effect after 30 days. During that time your account is closed: you are signed out and receive no further notifications. Signing back in is enough to cancel everything, with no form and no button.
If you can no longer sign in
Write to us from the account’s email address, asking for it to be deleted. The request is handled within 30 days.
What is deleted
When the 30 days are up, this data is erased for good: your email address, your password, your Google and Facebook sign-in identifiers, your account name, your profile photo, your language, and the devices subscribed to your notifications.
The invitations you had sent and that have not yet been accepted expire at the same time.
What stays, and why
Vespéra is a family memory, and it is shared: your star stays in your family’s tree, with its name, because that name is the memory your family has of you — not a piece of your account data. It only loses its link to the account and becomes an ordinary profile, entrusted to a relative.
Also remaining, detached from your identity: the memories you had shared, and the conversations whose other half belongs to someone else. Erasing them would carry away what others built around them. These are kept for as long as the family tree exists.
Deleting part of your data without closing your account
From the application, you can already: remove a family link you declared, unpublish a memory you had published, choose who must not see a memory already published, and replace your profile photo.
For any other request — in particular the permanent deletion of a memory — write to us from your account’s email address, saying what you would like deleted. The request is handled within 30 days, and your account stays open.
